OUR history
ALPHA KAPPA PSI IS AMERICA'S FIRST PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS FRATERNITY. FOUNDED ON OCTOBER 5, 1904 AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY, AKPSI NOW HAS MORE THAN 230 COLLEGE AND ALUMNI CHAPTERS.
THE OBJECTS OF ALPHA KAPPA PSI ARE:
To further the individual welfare of its members
To foster scientific research in the fields of commerce, accounts, and finance
To educate the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals therein
To promote and advance in institutions of college rank, courses leading to degrees in business administration.
When one joins Alpha Kappa Psi, he or she joins a group of professionals who are committed not only to keeping their careers on track, but also to helping fellow brothers achieve their personal and professional goals. We accomplish this through national and local professional programs. Our national programs include the Success Institutes, the Academy, and the College of Leadership. Our members gain many professional skills on the local level as they operate their chapters as "corporations." Moreover, Alpha Kappa Psi fosters a mutually beneficial affiliation approach that makes its members the best and brightest business students. The members take care to use these acquired skills as standards for excelling in the "real world."
